Eben Alexander, a neuroscientist out of Harvard, recently
wrote a book about his "near-death experience". Unfortunately, Alexander took his experience as "Proof of Heaven". Needless to say, I'm skeptical. And now, we hear about researchers at Michigan who have observed an
electrical surge in the brain shortly before death which could explain the types of vivid experiences described by Alexander and others. It serves as a reminder of how little we really know about the brain.
